Dental Implant, Post and Crown

Dental implants can return your confidence in chewing and your smile. What bothers you the most about your missing teeth? Is it the discomfort you feel when eating because of loose dentures or loose teeth? Or are you embarrassed to smile, worried that people are judging you based on your missing teeth? While these are both important considerations, you may not realize that the damage happening beneath the gumline is extremely serious and can have a significant impact on the health of your entire body. When you are missing teeth, the bone in your jaw no longer has a need to hold the root of your adjacent teeth in place and is no longer stimulated to renew itself. It begins to reabsorb, and your jawbone actually shrinks. As this process goes on and your bone becomes thinner, your other teeth will begin to drift or tilt slightly increasing the risk of cavities and gum disease.  Your remaining teeth become weaker, and additional tooth loss is likely. As you lose more teeth, the process continues and you start demonstrating a loss of height in the lower third of their face (see picture below) - now, this takes a long time to happen but we can stop the process by replacing teeth with dental implants.

Dental Implant Cost?

The cost of a dental implant, post and crown can be from $3499 and up depending on your particular situation. Costs of mini implants for dentures or small teeth are lower. For traditional implants, fees can be adjusted significantly and a "case fee" may be your best option.  A full mouth reconstruction with dental implants will lower the cost of replacing individual teeth. We realize that cost is an important consideration. If your insurance plan doesn’t currently cover dental implants, please let us know. We have financing options available to help ensure that all our patients can have access to replacing teeth with dental implants.

How Dental Implants Help

There is no better way to replace missing teeth than dental implants. In some cases, when you have teeth that just cannot be saved, the best replacement if a full mouth dental implant reconstruction. Dental implants cannot get cavities. With proper care and good overall health, dental implants are an investment for a life time.  A dental implant has three basic parts: a biocompatible titanium post that is implanted into your jaw, a post and a crown. Other people will only see the crown. Since the crown looks so much like a real tooth, nobody will know that you’ve had dental work done. Once fitted, a dental implant has the highest rate of long-term success than any dental procedure. Best of all, dental implants cannot get a cavity!
