You must have a positive outlook, an impeccable work ethic and be a problem solver. Dental x-ray Certificate required; Infection Control certification required. Orthodontic, implant and denture experience helpful.
A Special Notice from the Connecticut State Dental Association
As you may know, in 2016, the Connecticut legislature enacted a new law requiring all dental assistants in Connecticut to pass the Infection Control (ICE) exam administered by the Dental Assisting National Board, Inc. (DANB) before January 1, 2018. A new bill passed in the 2017 session extending the deadline to pass DANB’s ICE exam to July 1, 2018; this bill will automatically become law on June 22, 2017, if the governor does not sign or veto before then. On or after July 1, 2018, no dentist may delegate dental procedures to a dental assistant unless that dental assistant has passed DANB’s ICE exam.
DANB and the DALE Foundation, the official DANB affiliate, have compiled some information that may be useful to dental assistants and their employers.
The DALE Foundation, the official DANB affiliate, is offering a limited-time special on DANB ICE exam review materials. Use promo code ICECT by July 31 to receive the DANB ICE Review course for just $99 (normally $130). Add on the DANB ICE Practice Test and automatically save an additional 5% on your total order!
